Curaçao is the most unlikely story of the World Cup: a tiny Caribbean island playing in the World Cup for the first time (Group E, the one with Germany). And with a curious record under their belt.

🧓 Dick Advocaat, the legendary Dutch manager aged 78, will become the oldest coach in World Cup history. He resigned for personal reasons and returned weeks later. His statement after the squad announcement: "we will sell our skins dearly".

🌟 Tahith Chong (Sheffield United), brought through the United academy, is the offensive weapon. The squad is packed with Dutch diaspora talent (Bacuna, Locadia, Bazoer, Obispo from PSV…).

🏝️ With little more than 150,000 inhabitants, Curaçao will be the smallest nation to play in a World Cup. An absolute milestone in modern football.

🔙 The Caribbean side's absolute debut. A squad full of Dutch diaspora talent and a legendary manager want to turn this feat into something more than just a footnote.
