What's up, lads? The show of rigour is back. After a summer of World Cup madness, holidays and Fabiana Sevillano suffering with just one month off, Winning and More returns to the studio with the new season, backpack full and our bad temper intact. Back to school: parents breathe easy and university students, not so much

The show kicks off with the "most magical time of year": no more putting up with screaming brats, parents get their working days back and in return they get to cover textbooks, iron uniforms and buy a backpack that won't make it to November in one piece. And because we at Winning and More love street journalism, we headed to campus to take the temperature of the new season.

The best bit: one student's response to "how's the season looking?" asking if we mean football or university, and the one hoping to "become a bit like Deportivo de La Coruña and bring in reinforcements to save us from bankruptcy". There are also veterans losing faith in the new generation and unanimous advice for first-years: "don't even start, do a vocational course instead". Horticulture, bodywork and paint... or welding in Albacete, which is apparently what Princess Leonor's getting into.

Aura, daycares for nepo-babies and interns at the airport

Three pieces back-to-back that define the show. First, the Ministry of Education "launches" "Introduction to Aura Farming" as a compulsory secondary school subject: classrooms with LED lighting and high-definition mirrors, and a practical exam at the supermarket checkout where paying for two tomatoes and an onion in 50-cent coins means an irretrievable aura loss that can end in expulsion.

Next, the baby boom among streamers — DJ Mario, Carlillo "the Nervous One", Álvaro845 — leads to an exclusive daycare for influencer kids: tripods and ring lights in every classroom, Ibai livestreams in the background and lunches made up of Xokas-branded meal prep containers. And to finish, the "investigation" by the Ministry of Labour into the working conditions of Gerard Romero's interns: shifts day and night at El Prat and Barajas, 45 degrees in the shade, with the sole aim of tracking down Deco and asking him questions "that make no sense whatsoever".

Andorra, GTA 6 and the streamer blackout

The international section opens with Andorra, which declares a state of emergency on Ganar y Más because its power grid will collapse the day GTA 6 becomes available for download. According to the Andorran Ministry of Infrastructure and Fibre Optics, TheGrefg's house consumption alone will exceed the power output of three nuclear plants and the lightning bolt that sent Marty McFly back to the future. The measures proposed to Brussels are the kind that give the show its name: pedalling for the nation (streamers playing on exercise bikes connected to a dynamo), a chroma tax (live streams by candlelight or wearing a miner's helmet) and asking Spain to reroute Extremadura's electricity. And Spursito, «the only one living in Andorra by choice», leading a protest to cut internet access to anyone who doesn't know what an escudella is.

Advertising: Ozempatabajo, «lose weight through the power of the toilet»

Ganar y Más also has its sponsors. For those dragging around summer excess, the show presents Ozempatabajo, «a new medication totally legal in Southeast Asia»: an average loss of 10 kilos in three months and 300% more visits to the loo. Football: Ontiveros, Asencio, Vinicius and Diomande's 2,435 years

Football gets its share, always tongue-in-cheek. Javi Ontiveros surprises with a physical transformation based on rice, chicken and running two or three days a week («the hardest part was giving up chocolate, biscuits, crisps, desserts, Domino's all-you-can-eat buffets and alcohol; everything else was fine») and kicks off his journey towards Euro 2028. Raúl Asencio turns down a Mainz 05 offer because «he's too old for me», just like he once declined Dortmund after finding out the 09 on the badge means 1909 not 2009: he'd only leave Madrid to play for Young Boys.

And the two biggest bits of the episode. On one hand, Vinicius's «Kardashian Project»: Dr. Juan Pelucas explains that the striker's aesthetic transformation «hasn't even reached 15%» and details the surgical schedule until his «peak handsomeness» in early 2027. On the other, the Institute of Cultural Heritage «confirms» that Yan Diomande is 2,435 years old: carbon-14 tests on his shin guards, hieroglyphics in the dressing room, a lethal strike partnership with Hannibal in the Second Punic War, advice to Columbus about playing down the left wing and an assist to Neil Armstrong on the Moon in 1969. UEFA doesn't ban him, but makes him pass his medical exams at the Prado Museum.

The human segment: interview with the Black Fox

Our reporter Sara risks life and limb facing the Black Fox, Aura Master 3000, to finally understand what aura battles are all about. His version, and this is one of the few things on the show taken seriously, is actually much healthier than it sounds: «it's about kids socialising, making friends, having fun; we dance, put on music and that's it». He drops a couple of tricks for winning (the S7, «which gives 10,000 experience points») and a life philosophy: «love isn't found, love comes naturally». He'd love to move in with the Twins if they call; if not, he's carrying on with his life.

Entertainment, culture and sign-off

The final stretch is pure Ganar y Más: Cocituber and Fabiana Sevillano, «the torrezno hunter and the woman allergic to hard work», caught on an Ibiza cove (the excuse to approach her was asking if she had mayonnaise); influencer Clara reinvented as a student on the gardening course in Reus after the influencer collapse; Santiago Segura confirming the sixth instalment of «Padre no hay más que uno» with the girl from the «oh, Ferran» audio as the lead; and the latest GTA 6 trailer, with Rockstar introducing their new character and his son LeBron Tupac Amadeus.
