Real Sporting de Gijón's new 2026/27 kit: Siroko's first design, from El Molinón to Hollywood

I'm coming all the way from El Molinón to Hollywood to show you this, and I'm not exaggerating. The new Real Sporting de Gijón home kit for 2026/27 is making its debut in the City of Stars, and we're here in Los Angeles following Spain in the World Cup. A blockbuster premiere for a very, very special shirt: the first one Siroko are dressing our Sporting in.

Here's what the shirt looks like. Check out the details, because there's substance to this (no pun intended). On the chest, three red stripes and two white stripes, the ones we know, the ones that are ours. The Sporting badge is embroidered and on the other side, the Siroko logo. The fabric is microperforated —really breathable and ventilated, the kind that doesn't start sweating after three minutes— and it hides the detail I'm most buzzing about: if you look closely at the white stripes, you'll see the word «PUXA» woven all over the shirt. That's sick. The sleeve changes fabric compared to the chest and features a golden detail in white and red that's repeated on the neck.

And then there are those little touches that make all the difference: a button with the Siroko and Sporting marks engraved on it, and a nod to Asturias —the Cross of Victory in gold and blue, with the «Siroko · Official Product» seal— with that hologram effect that, if you tilt the shirt like those 3D hologram cards we had as kids, changes in the light. And my favourite bit: inside the neck collar there's engraved a phrase that says it all, «THE CLUB OF OUR LIVES». As Guille Rosas said perfectly, it represents those of us from here, those who feel this badge in our hearts. Fair warning though: the one I'm showing you is fresh off the production line: totally blank, just fabric, no main sponsor, no sleeve patches or squad numbers yet.

What's behind all this (and why I'm so proud). Beyond the design, what matters is the story: Siroko is a brand born in Gijón, headquartered in Gijón, and now dressing Real Sporting de Gijón. And not just that: they'll also be the main sponsor. A local brand backing their team and a team backing their brand. That sense of belonging doesn't come around every day in football, and I think it's beautiful. We came from Puma, who did a brilliant job last season and set a high bar —I'm the first to admit it— but this is only the home kit… and I'll tell you something: you're not ready for what's coming.
