🎮 Quick answer: in EA SPORTS FC 27 Real Sporting de Gijón come out with Juan Otero and César Gelabert as top players, rated 74 overall, followed by Guille Rosas, Corredera and Yáñez (73). No player breaks 74 and the squad ranges between 61 and 74: a mid-table LaLiga Hypermotion side, no more, no less. The jewel of Manager mode is Alejo Sarco: 64 overall with 82 potential, the highest ceiling in the entire dressing room. Below you'll find the full video with the final squad and the table with all 30 overalls, attributes, skills and weak feet for every player.

What's up, lads? It's the most wonderful time of the year: EA FC 27 is out and, as an EA SPORTS Game Changer in their Creator Network, I've got the final build exclusively before the rest of the world. There are barely a handful of us creators in Spain with that privilege and the first video of each year can only be one thing: the official Sporting Gijón squad in the game, keeper to striker, checking out what overalls and attributes they've given them, whether they match reality and if their faces actually look like them or if someone sculpted a few of them out of potatoes. Here's the full deal: the video, the complete table and my take—and trust me, I'm a Sporting fan so objectivity isn't exactly my strong suit.

Is Sporting's squad broken in EA FC 27?

Broken? Nah. But there's no world-beater to break the game either: the highest overall in the squad is 74 and only two players have it, Juan Otero (striker, 88 pace) and César Gelabert (attacking mid, face is spot-on and even his neck tattoo is there). Below them, a block of 73s with Guille Rosas, Àlex Corredera and Rubén Yáñez, then the rest scattered between 61 and 70. To give you an idea: if you're hunting for a "realistic" squad in Manager mode, Sporting is exactly that—a mid-table Segunda side you actually need to build around. And looking at what's happened at El Molinón (4 points from 12 at home and two straight defeats), EA didn't lose any sleep over it.

Watch out for one detail in the video: in this year's Manager mode the overall is dynamic. When the season kicks off, nearly every player shows up with an extra point in green (Yáñez comes out as 74 when his real overall is 73, Otero at 75…) because the game considers them "in form" from pre-season. The numbers in this table are EA's official ratings, without that friendly gift point.

Sporting's 30 overalls in EA FC 27, player by player

The 24 players with Ultimate Team cards come from EA's official ratings; the other six (Ordóñez, Àlex Diego, Duñabeitia, Bruno Rubio, Ferreres and Conde) I pulled straight from the final build. Overall is the general rating and Pot. is what Manager mode estimates as potential. In green, attributes of 75 or higher; in red, below 50.

What stands out most (and what hurts most) about each one

Rubén Yáñez73 → 73
PlayStyles: Cross Stopper
He's 32 and EA says that's where he stays. Growth potential? Zero, despite what they tell you.
Egoitz Arana66 → 71
6'5" goalkeeper with room to grow up to 71.
Mario Ordóñez56 → 68
19 years old and 6'5". Modest numbers, but he's the third-choice keeper.
Guille Rosas73 → 76
PlayStyles: Shield, Anticipation
Team MVP. 92 stamina and 84 aggression, figures that speak for themselves. I'd bump up his defence stats—the lad's got a bite.
Iker Martínez61 → 70
Pure fullback, no confusion about his position.
Diego Sánchez69 → 77
PlayStyles: Shield, Anticipation
Centre-back, fullback or pivot. Potential 77, one of the biggest risers.
Pablo García68 → 70
PlayStyles: Relentless
Can play the entire left flank: fullback, midfielder and winger. High jump and stamina.
Àlex Diego61 → 77
They give him 72 physicality with 52 jumping, 52 stamina and 51 strength. Wish I had those kind of averages in high school.
Pablo Vázquez70 → 72
PlayStyles: Precision Heading, Long Pass, Intercept, Aerial Superiority
86 strength and four PlayStyles—the most in the squad. Pace 51: that's quite the gap.
Jorge Sáenz68 → 73
PlayStyles: Aggressive Interception
Pure centre-back, and a proper one at that. 81 strength and 72 heading.
Emanuel Gularte68 → 71
Watch that 38 pass rating, mate. And we could already tell in the first game that playing out wide isn't his thing.
Duñabeitia65 → 76
Pretty similar card. Centre-back with the option to play right-back "old-school style".
Andrés Cuenca64 → 76
19 years old, EA reckons he's better at centre-back than full-back. I'd add a bit more pace myself.
Àlex Corredera73 → 73
PlayStyles: Technical, First Touch
From the pivot to the attacking mid, he covers the entire centre of the park. 90 stamina too.
Hugo Guillamón70 → 75
Pretty spot-on likeness. Four-star weak foot and 75 defence: proper solid defender.
Nacho Martín68 → 74
Central midfielder or defensive mid, balanced across the board.
Mamadou Loum66 → 74
PlayStyles: Power Header, Long Ball
Runs backwards: 33 pace, the lowest in the squad. 82 strength and 1.88m tall.
Manu Rodríguez62 → 77
Watch how high they're rating him: potential 77 at just 20 years old.
Bruno Rubio60 → 76
Youth academy lad with progression up to 76.
César Gelabert74 → 77
Spitting image of him, neck tattoo and all. Maximum versatility and 87 stamina.
Enol Prendes63 → 71
Even looks like him. 73 pace and solid short passing.
Gaspar Campos70 → 71
PlayStyles: Power Shot
87 shot power and 80 long shot: you've got to have a go at it, Gaspi. Not sold on the barnet though.
Konrad de la Fuente66 → 70
PlayStyles: Rapid Acceleration
Textbook winger: pace and dribbling. 33 stamina though, that's a problem.
Nikita Iosifov67 → 74
PlayStyles: Skillful Dribbling
The Russian: pace and dribbling skills. Winger on either flank.
Cris Ferreres62 → 71
Decent pace and interesting dribbles; everything else, just barely there.
Juan Otero74 → 74
PlayStyles: Power Shot, Precision Heading, Rapid Speed Dribble, Quick Pass
The quickest (90 pace), the strongest (92) and the highest jumper (90). Four-star skills. Good for anywhere up front.
Alejo Sarco64 → 82
Spot on. And the gem: potential 82, the highest ceiling in the entire squad. EA sees something special in this lad.
Antonio Casas69 → 72
85 jumping and 82 strength. Pure number nine.
Andrés Ferrari68 → 76
Can even play out wide. 83 jumping.
Miguel Conde60 → 75
Striker with the same ability level across the attacking third. Potential 75.

Dressing room records in EA FC 27

Sporting's ideal eleven in EA FC 27 (by averages)

If you let the ratings decide, you get a 4-3-3 pretty similar to what we see on Sundays: Yáñez (73); Guille Rosas (73), Pablo Vázquez (70), Jorge Sáenz (68), Diego Sánchez (69); Guillamón (70), Corredera (73), Nacho Martín (68); Gaspar Campos (70), Otero (74) and Gelabert (74). Team average: 70.9. On the bench: Casas (69), Ferrari (68), Pablo García (68), Gularte (68), Nikita (67), Loum (66) and Konrad (66).

And if you play Manager mode thinking two seasons ahead, the names change: Sarco up front from day one (64 → 82), Diego Sánchez a fixture at left-back (69 → 77), Manu Rodríguez in midfield (62 → 77) and Cuenca (64 → 76) and Àlex Diego (61 → 77) rotating at the back. That's literally the squad that real Sporting needs to develop.

The faces: who looks right and who doesn't

EA scanned some players and "interpreted" others. They look right: Gelabert (even the neck tattoo), Jorge Sáenz, Alejo Sarco (spot on), Guillamón, Guille Rosas, Pablo Vázquez, Duñabeitia, Enol Prendes and Manu Rodríguez. Decent: Diego Sánchez, Cuenca and Pablo García with his curly hair. Not even close: Rubén Yáñez, who looks nothing like himself—nothing at all. You know what to ask for in the next update.

My take: where I disagree with EA

Generally the ratings are fair for what the team is showing, but there are two things I'd change. I'd give Guille Rosas more defensive ability (66 is light for someone who tackles like he does) and Cuenca a bit more pace—at 19 and with the way he plays, he runs faster than a 71. And while not a complaint, it's definitely good news: that EA sees a ceiling of 82 for Sarco when he arrived at 64 means people outside Gijón also see what we see. Now the manager just needs to see it.

🎮 The series is underway: with this squad I've started the Realistic Manager Mode, the Sporting save in EA FC 27 with no fantasy signings and no repeated matches. All episodes, Day 1 to the last, are there in order.
🟢 Live on Kick: tonight we're going live with EA FC 27 on kick.com/elopi23: a full breakdown of the game and the start of the realistic Manager Mode with Sporting, the most realistic one on all of YouTube, you already know. And let me know in the video comments if you're picking up FC 27 to grind the Ultimate Team.

By the way, the shirt all the players wear in-game is Siroko's this season: you can find it in the Sporting Store 26/27 with the code ELOPI23, and the flash deals change every few days, so keep an eye out.

According to Elopi23's review with the final game, Gelabert (including his neck tattoo), Jorge Sáenz, Alejo Sarco, Hugo Guillamón, Guille Rosas, Pablo Vázquez, Duñabeitia, Enol Prendes and Manu Rodríguez are recognizable. Guille Rosas and Diego Sánchez have Blocking and Anticipation, Corredera has Quality and Firm Pass, and Gaspar Campos has Power Shot.

Why do Real Sporting players in EA FC 27's Manager mode start with one point higher overall?

Because this year's overall is dynamic: at the start of the season, the game considers almost all players 'in form' and temporarily adds one point in green (Yáñez appears with 74 although his real overall is 73). That boost goes up or down depending on the player's performances. The official overalls, without that extra point, are those published by EA on their ratings website.
