FIFA has already confirmed that tickets are sold out, and will only allow last-minute resales of unpaid tickets. Three hosts, three ceremonies, an absolutely massive opening for the biggest tournament in history.
The 2026 World Cup opening ceremony takes place on 11 June at Estadio Ciudad de México, before the Mexico vs South Africa match.
Shakira and Burna Boy will premiere Dai Dai live, the official tournament song. Also performing are J Balvin, Maná, Belinda, Alejandro Fernández, Los Ángeles Azules, Tyla and Danny Ocean.
