With the scoreline in their favour, Cádiz managed to compete in the closing stages against a Ceuta searching for an equalizer. The killer blow arrived via penalty: Antoñito Cordero converted in the 76th, though there's a catch to this one because Ceuta's reports suggest it was actually Antonio Cordero who put the ball in the net, leaving the responsibility a bit murky. Borja Vázquez put the cherry on top in the dying moments, the 95th minute, with a third goal that buried the visitors for good. Ceuta deflated after the restart and Cádiz showed them that in the Segunda División, when you've got your fans behind you and your head screwed on right, miracles do happen. Borja Jiménez couldn't have asked for a better debut.
