📝 Match report

Real Sporting de Gijón broke a historical curse in Encamp: they had never won or scored in Andorra and came away with a 1-3 victory on matchday 6 of LaLiga Hypermotion, also snapping a run of two consecutive defeats at El Molinón. Second away win in two outings for Larcamón's side, who now have 10 points and provisionally climb into playoff positions a week before the derby.

Larcamón changed the starting XI and formation, with Manu Rodríguez in the double pivot, Pablo García on the left flank and Iosifov on the right. Duñabeitia put Sporting ahead in the 6th minute with a glancing header from a Corredera corner kick, his first goal as a rojiblanco. After that Andorra took control of the ball in a very poor first half, and on the restart Jordi Cano levelled (48') after a poor clearance by Pablo Vázquez.

The substitutions on 58 minutes, bringing on Bruno Rubio and Antonio Casas, gave Sporting fresh impetus. In the 66th minute Otero went down the right wing and set up the 1-2 for Casas, who controlled calmly and scored his first goal for Sporting. Andorra pushed for an equaliser until the end, but in the final play, with their keeper up trying to head a corner, Iosifov wrapped up the 1-3 into an empty net. A result that papers over a match in which Sporting suffered plenty without the ball.
