Leganés beat Granada 3-2 at Estadio Ontime Butarque on September 20th in matchday six of LaLiga Hypermotion. What looked like a one-way street in the opening ten minutes turned into an absolute madhouse where Granada had the football but not the finishing touch, and where the beautiful game stuck the knife in right before the break. Naim García opened the scoring from distance with a spectacular right-footed strike from a corner kick in the third minute and a half, while seconds after the seventh minute, Soko bundled in the second goal past Lizoain following a left-wing move finished first by Gharbi. The Leganés lads were actually allowing themselves the luxury of going 2-0 up and that in football is a howler when your opponent is a Granada side managed by Pacheta. The visitors pulled one back in the 15th minute when a thunderous Arnaiz effort that Luca parried fell kindly to Ignasi Miquel, who slotted it into his own net. Lizoain's goal made a crucial save from a powerful Emeka shot, and the Leganés keeper made decisive interventions against Marqués in the 22nd minute. Granada were starting to breathe, starting to find their feet, starting to convince themselves that the 2-0 was all a bad dream. The Andalusians didn't have to wait long: in the second half, Alejandro Marqués levelled things up in the 52nd minute. From that point on, the match belonged to whoever executed better, whoever had the mental clarity to seal it. In the 82nd minute, the referee ruled out a Granada goal for a foul on Atienza in the air, and then came sheer ecstasy for the 11,100 Butarque spectators: in the 89th, Sule teed up Gharbi on the edge of the box and the Franco-Tunisian struck a low drive impossible for Lizoain to stop, handing Leganés the win. Granada suffered an unjust defeat in a thrilling encounter full of twists where football showed itself to be particularly cruel to the visitors' merits. Leganés moved up to eleven points in the table. One of those matches that if Oviedo are watching from home, they're thanking their stars they've got eight points and can breathe a bit easier away from the trapdoor.
