📝 Match report

Well, look here, Cádiz and Celta Fortuna have shared the spoils on matchday one without giving an inch at Nuevo Mirandilla, in a clash that was more about defensive tactics than spectacle – and let's be honest, that's not what you're hoping for on opening day either. The yellows dominated possession with 56.7% and pressed high with 16 shots in total, but when it came down to being clinical they managed just three attempts on target, which basically means they lacked that killer touch. The Galician side, for their part, played on the counter with their 43.3% possession, but here's where it gets interesting: they were far more effective defensively with 21 fouls (yes, more contact than a rugby training session) and had five decent shots on target compared to Cádiz's three. In the end, a goalless draw and a point each, which in these early stages of the season isn't bad at all to start picking up results, especially considering Celta's reserve side are newly promoted to the "Hypermotion" and making their debut in a stadium that's far from a walk in the park.
