El Burgos took all three points in a thrilling match against Córdoba on matchday 1 that gave us everything: goals, drama and that feeling that anything can happen in the Segunda División. The visitors struck first through Youssouf Diarra in the 11th minute, but the home side hit back quickly with Alex Fores and Javi Llabrés to go ahead before the break. Córdoba didn't throw in the towel and Eder García pulled one back in the dying moments of the first half, but David González put it to bed in the 90th minute to seal a 3-2 win that was all the sweeter for El Burgos considering Córdoba dominated possession (58.6%) and had more shots (20 attempts). One of those victories that tastes absolutely brilliant when you're not the team controlling the game, innit.
