📝 Match report

Real Oviedo and Granada shared the spoils on matchday 1 in a cautious affair devoid of cutting edge at the Carlos Tartiere, where the hosts dominated with 61.4% possession but couldn't turn that into goals. The blues had more control of the ball and created one more dangerous chance (9 shots versus 10), though curiously it was the Granada side who managed the same shots on target as the home side with just 38.6% of the ball. A dull draw that leaves both teams without tasting victory on this opening matchday, though neither know what defeat feels like either: a starting point, let's say, nothing special but hardly disastrous. The capital's finest kick off their LaLiga Hypermotion campaign with a reality check at the Carlos Tartiere.
