📝 Match report

Celta Fortuna and Sabadell drew 1-1 at Balaídos in a match short on chances, where the Celta B side couldn't turn their lightning start into victory. A gift from Miki Codina, who tried to pass back to his goalkeeper only to hand it straight to Álvaro Marín, gave the sky blues an advantage in the fifth minute, but that was Celta Fortuna's only shot on target in the entire first half. The B team failed to make that early windfall count, and Edgar González levelled from a corner where he ruthlessly punished a massive defensive shambles in the Celta backline. By that point, barely thirty minutes in, the Celta lads had controlled the match, but control without chances is just smoke and mirrors. Celta Fortuna put on a more solid and competitive display, especially in direct play, which had become one of their main headaches in recent matchdays, though it didn't really help them create sustained danger. With Hugo Burcio in midfield, the B team had more presence in the centre of the park, but lacked the cutting edge to generate real threat going forward. In the second half both managers made changes, the match opened up a bit, but clear-cut chances were thin on the ground despite Sabadell looking more comfortable—they even had a Baena goal ruled out for a tight offside call. In the dying moments, Celta could have found their way back to victory, but Eneko, arriving from deep, blocked Ángel Arcos' shot before it reached Fuolli. A hard-earned point on matchday seven, where neither side got anything they didn't deserve: two teams struggling to serve up convincing football, so the draw feels less like an injustice and more like the perfect reflection of a match where the goals came early but the football never quite took flight.
