📝 Match report

The match between CD Sabadell and FC Andorra, corresponding to matchday eight of LaLiga Hypermotion and scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at 18:30 at the Nova Creu Alta, was postponed due to a red alert for heavy rainfall risk declared in Catalonia. Mother Nature wasn't having it – two teams with completely different needs wouldn't get to test themselves on the pitch. Sabadell arrived with their homework done in the Hypermotion League: after seven matchdays they'd accumulated twelve points with three wins, three draws and one defeat, sitting seventh in the table. Facing them was an Andorra side struggling in the bottom half with just six points from seven games played, loss after loss, stuck in eighteenth position. The Andorrans, mind you, had just broken their away-day curse in the previous matchday with a surprise thrashing of Granada, so they were bringing some confidence to the Vallès. The Catalans, for their part, had already discovered that home advantage is crucial in Segunda División: they were winning all their matches at the stadium. But the storm wouldn't let the game happen. A red alert for intense rainfall and significant water accumulation suspended all outdoor sporting events. With no date set yet for the fixture, both teams will be waiting for the authorities and LaLiga to decide when this battle – which meant plenty to both sides – can finally be played, always prioritising the safety of players and fans. Football has to step aside for the weather once again, and Sabadell will have to wait to carry on making the most of the home fortress they've shown so far.
