📝 Match report

Granada snapped a four-game winless run with an epic comeback against Real Sociedad B, overturning a 2-0 deficit in a vibrant second half sealed by Jorge Pascual in extra time. The match corresponded to matchday eight of LaLiga Hypermotion and was played at Zubieta in front of 1,105 spectators. Real Sociedad B came out with determination, creating clear chances in the first half, with a threaded pass from Ibai Aguirre between the lines that almost paid off and a shot from Lander Astiazarán from the left corner that Alberto Flores pushed away with a great stretch. But the goals arrived quickly and brutally for the Donostian side. In the 28th minute, Gorka Gorosabel took advantage of a low cross that came after Astiazarán's chest control from a switchplay, and barely sixty seconds later, Gorka Carrera extended the lead with the 2-0. At that point in the match, everything looked white and blue on the scoreboard. But Pacheta, Granada's manager, tried three centre-backs at Zubieta, went down 2-0 and fixed it at the break, which completely changed the course of the contest. Past the hour mark, from a Granada corner, Ropero conceded a penalty on Manu Lama, and José Arnáiz converted the spot-kick with a shot tight to the base of the left post. Five minutes later, the visitors equalized thanks to a crisp finish from Arnáiz taking advantage of a hanging ball that Calderón couldn't clear. In the 93rd minute, just as time was running out, Jorge Pascual scored with his head from close range after a corner, sealing one of those victories that looked impossible just thirty minutes earlier. The Andalusian side got back to winning ways to climb closer to the upper reaches of the table, while Real Sociedad B accumulated their third consecutive defeat. A movie-like comeback, that one at Zubieta, where Granada learned to suffer and to believe when everything looked lost.
