Granada grabbed a hard-fought victory (0-1) away at El Plantío, thanks to a goal from Pedro Alemañ in the 25th minute. This was one of those matches where Burgos deserved so much more in terms of chances and opportunities, but found themselves up against the reality that football sometimes doesn't reward the team that plays better and the ball doesn't go in where it should. Granada snatched a brilliant narrow win on a pitch that had been unbeaten in this campaign. That was the significance: to rock the Burgos fortress and escape with three points in the bag.
