📝 Match report

Eldense pulled off a Hollywood comeback at the Nuevo Pepico Amat to clinch a priceless victory against Córdoba on matchday nine of Hypermotion, after Fidel sealed the deal with a penalty in added time. The white-and-greens dominated the first half with obvious superiority, even having two goals chalked off for offside, but it turned out to be pure mirage. Rubén Alves' header in the tenth minute gave Iván Ania's side the lead, and Eldense could've left the Pepico getting hammered without Juanpa's heroics between the sticks. The blue-and-reds shook off the lethargy in the dressing room and emerged in the second half with radically different determination. Rastrojo equalized in the sixty-second minute with a delicate chip after Guirao's assist, and suddenly the energy in Elda was entirely different. Iker Recio had the chance to wrap it up when his header struck the post in the eighty-first minute, but it was Córdoba who left the door wide open to disaster. A clumsy penalty from Dani Tasende on Jesús Clemente in the last of four added minutes allowed Fidel to make it two-one with a chip that nestled beside the post. Eldense claimed their second consecutive win at the Pepico Amat, a stunning blow that once again proves this division is full of plot twists when you least expect them, and that football, at the end of the day, doesn't really care who's got more trophies or more chances: it cares who scores last.
