📝 Match report

Eibar took all three points from Estadi Nacional with surgical precision: a single stab from Aleix Garrido in the 46th minute was enough to bleed Andorra dry, a side that spent the first 45 minutes passing the ball around like hypochondriacs without finding any way through goal. The Principality boys had control of the game for the entire first half, that kind of possession that cures nothing when your finishing doesn't show up, but the Basque outfit needed just one moment to get ahead: a cross from Iván Gil down the right that Garrido finished with ease from close range, completely unmarked, leaving Pau López with nothing to do. Clinical away performance versus local impotence—that's the equation that hurts most in Segunda División. Andorra came out all guns blazing in the second half, as you'd expect, but ran into an iron-clad defence and, worse still, tripped over their own feet. In the 57th minute, Magunazelaia saw straight red for an incident that shouldn't even get a mention: the armeros down to ten men when the game still had plenty of life in it and looked like Andorra might actually have the goods. But no: even with the extra man they couldn't find an equaliser, and when Efe Akman bundled in what looked like the leveller deep into injury time, the VAR ruled it out for a Golubovic offside. That was that. Eibar bag their second straight win and Andorra head home empty-handed, like someone who's left their wallet at the bar after buying everyone a round.
